Anam Cú Mobile Grooming Studio

Questions

Kindly asked

Common questions about mobile grooming visits, ahead of your dog's first one.

How does mobile dog grooming work?

Jessica parks the grooming van at your home and grooms your dog inside it, one-to-one. The van is a fully equipped grooming studio with its own water and power, so you do not need to provide anything. Your dog walks out of the front door, into the studio, and back home again.

How do I book a groom?

Call 085 168 9256 or email [email protected] with your dog's breed or mix, size, coat condition, your Eircode and the days that usually suit. Jessica arranges every booking personally.

What areas do you cover?

Anam Cú is based between Castleisland and Abbeyfeale and visits homes in and around Castleisland, Abbeyfeale, Tralee, Listowel, Killarney, Newcastle West and Farranfore, including the villages between. Killorglin and Ballybunion can be arranged. Travel is included in the price within the service area. If your townland is not listed, ask; appointments are grouped by area where possible.

My dog is anxious. Is this suitable?

Often yes. Many dogs find the car journey and a busy salon the hardest part of grooming. With a mobile visit your dog stays on home ground, meets one person, and is groomed one-to-one with clear breaks and no production-line pace. If a groom is not safe or fair for the dog, Jessica will say so.

Do you groom cats?

Not at present. Anam Cú is exclusively for dogs.

How should I prepare my dog?

A toilet break beforehand helps. Please share allergies, medical issues, sore spots, behaviour concerns, last groom date and any coat problems before the appointment.

What if my dog is matted?

Light tangles may be managed as part of the groom. Heavy matting is quoted before work begins and may require a shorter welfare clip rather than painful brushing.

Are you certified and insured?

Yes. Jessica is a course-certified dog groomer and Anam Cú is insured. Details can be confirmed directly when booking.
