Times are planned around the day's other visits and real driving distances, so the studio always arrives settled and on time.

Killarney, Newcastle West, Killorglin, Ballybunion? Those visits are by arrangement. Ask about your area before choosing a date.

Somewhere else? Every day is planned by area, so visits outside these towns are by arrangement. Ask about your area to discuss whether a route-day visit is available.

Jessica Maguire is a course-certified dog groomer and Anam Cú is insured. Proof or details can be provided directly when booking.

Cancellation & refunds

Cancel free of charge at least 48 hours before your visit and the amount paid online is refunded in full. Online bookings can be cancelled from the link in your confirmation email. Cancellations within 48 hours of the visit, and no-shows, are not refunded. You can move a visit once yourself, up to 48 hours before it, from the link in your confirmation email. To change it again, cancel and book a new time. A cancellation within 48 hours can be made the same way, and the amount paid is kept. If we cancel, you are entitled to a refund for the service we cannot provide.

Health & safety

Please tell Jessica about allergies, injuries, illness, pregnancy, parasites, behaviour concerns, medication, soreness or previous grooming problems before the appointment. Dogs with contagious conditions or veterinary-level matting may need to be referred to a vet first.

Privacy

Anam Cú is responsible for the personal data used to manage your enquiry and booking. We use contact details, your address or Eircode, dog details, grooming notes, appointment history and payment records to arrange and provide the service, keep accounts and resolve problems. We do not sell personal data. The fuller privacy notice below explains our legal bases, providers, retention and your rights.

Legal bases. We use booking information to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform the grooming contract. We retain financial records to meet legal obligations. We rely on legitimate interests to secure the website, prevent payment errors, handle enquiries and disputes, and understand how the service is used. These interests are balanced against your privacy. Optional marketing or publication of identifiable customer material requires separate consent; you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful use.

Providers and sharing. AWS hosts the website, booking database, backups and security logs. Square processes card and terminal payments and refunds; we do not receive full card details. Resend delivers sign-in links, booking emails and receipts. Google Calendar holds a copy of appointments, including the contact and location details needed for the visit. First-party website analytics record page and referrer information and approximate country without advertising cookies. We may share necessary records with our accountant, professional advisers or authorities where required by law. We do not use booking details for advertising profiles.

International processing. Some providers operate outside the EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, are required. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

Retention. We retain transaction and supporting accounting records for at least the statutory six-year period, and longer if a specific legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires it. Booking and grooming details are retained while needed to provide ongoing care or support those records. Other enquiries and operational information are reviewed and removed when no longer needed for their stated purpose. A deletion request does not require us to erase records we must retain by law; access to retained records is restricted.

Your choices and rights. You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis. Required contact, location and booking details are necessary to arrange a visit; without them we may be unable to provide the service. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated profiling. You may complain to the Data Protection Commission.

Terms of service

By booking you confirm you are the legal owner or keeper of the dog and that all information provided is accurate. Prices are set by size; the exact quote is confirmed after coat and behaviour are assessed, before any work begins.

Payments & refunds

Online bookings are paid securely through Square - Apple Pay, Google Pay or card - either in full or as a 50 percent deposit. Card details never touch our systems. Any balance is settled on the day, once the groom is done, by cash or card on the terminal. A receipt can be printed or emailed, and you can request a copy later. If something is not right, contact Jessica promptly so it can be discussed and corrected where reasonable.
